During your stay
The Shearer’s Quarters provides generous spaces to share with your friends and family. Whether preparing meals in the large kitchen, relaxing by the fire-pit in the covered courtyard, or sitting out by a campfire under the stars, there is really no need to leave Moranghurk during your stay.
The property boasts a full size tennis and basketball court, kilometres of farm laneways to walk or cycle, as well as a breathtaking river frontage and cliffs to explore. The night sky is a wonderful change from city lights.
During the day, explore the vineyard, then spot the 50+ species of native birds and remnant native grasses amongst stands of centuries-old gum trees. Moranghurk is home to large numbers of kangaroos and wallabies, but also keep an eye out for koalas and echidnas, as well as platypus in the river.

Frequent Visitors
Over the years we have hosted many large groups, including mother’s group reunions, special family occasions, bushwalking and cycling groups, music and yoga workshops, and leaderships camps. We are proud to be a second home to the Astronomical Society of Geelong who take advantage of the lack of nearby city lights to explore the night sky.
